ROCKSLIDE SHUTS DOWN HWY 3A - DONEGAL DEMANDS TRANSPORTATION ACTION

When will the Transportation Minister stop neglecting the transportation lifelines that keep rural BC moving .

On April 15, 2025, MLA Donegal Wilson (Boundary-Similkameen) addressed the Legislature following yet another rockslide closure on Highway 3A between Keremeos and Kaleden — a vital transportation corridor. Donegal highlighted that the last slide in this area shut down the highway for over a week, with repairs taking months — creating serious economic and mobility challenges for residents, businesses, and supply chains.

She called on the Ministry of Transportation to take urgent action to better maintain and invest in transportation lifelines that keep rural communities and the province moving. “When will the Transportation Minister stop neglecting the transportation lifelines that keep rural BC moving .”

📍 Donegal continues to push for rural infrastructure investment that supports resiliency, safety, and long-term economic stability.
