CONNECTING WITH COMMUNITY

Whether she’s hosting a town hall, attending a fall fair, or speaking at a local event, Donegal believes in showing up and listening. This page highlights upcoming events across Boundary-Similkameen — opportunities to connect, ask questions, and share what matters most to you.

This calendar shows events and days Donegal will be attending, but the office in Keremeos remains open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, by appointment.

Pop-Up Office Days are planned around the needs of people and communities — so if you don’t see a date scheduled for your area, please reach out. Our team will do our best to accommodate a meeting in your community.

If you have an upcoming event you’d like Donegal to attend that isn’t on the calendar, please reach out to the office — we welcome invitations and do our best to be there.

Please contact the office to book a time with Donegal or to speak with a member of our team.

Osoyoos Coffee with Your MLA

Coffee with the MLA – Grab a Cup, Share What Matters

Join MLA Donegal Wilson for an informal and welcoming conversation over coffee. These drop-in style events are open to everyone — residents, business owners, and local elected officials alike. There's no agenda, no speeches — just a chance to connect.

Donegal moves table to table, listening to what's on your mind and hearing directly from the people she represents. It’s a casual setting designed to make it easy to share your ideas, concerns, and local priorities.

If you have a specific issue that would be better discussed privately or in a more structured format, please contact our office. We’ll be happy to schedule a one-on-one meeting at a time that works for you.

Founders Day

I'll be at the Community Market!

I’ll have a booth at the community market this weekend, and I’d love to connect with you. Whether you have a concern to share, an idea for the future, or just want to say hello, please stop by. I’m here to listen and to represent the voices of Boundary-Similkameen.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Founders Day is a beloved annual tradition in Greenwood, British Columbia—Canada’s smallest city. Held each summer, it celebrates the founding of Greenwood and honours the rich heritage of this resilient community.

Established in 1897 during the height of the Boundary region’s mining boom, Greenwood quickly became a bustling hub for copper and gold mining. At its peak, the city boasted smelters, hotels, and a thriving downtown core. Despite economic shifts and the eventual closure of the smelter in the 1910s, Greenwood remained a tight-knit and proud community.

Founders Day is a time for locals and visitors to come together and celebrate Greenwood’s pioneering spirit. The day typically includes a lively parade, family-friendly activities, local vendors, historical displays, live music, and community spirit. It also serves as a reminder of Greenwood’s unique past—including its role as a safe haven for Japanese Canadians interned during World War II.

Whether you’re a lifelong resident or a first-time visitor, Founders Day is a wonderful way to experience the warmth and history of this remarkable little city.
