FIGHTING FOR RURAL BC: MY STATEMENT ON THE CRISIS IN FORESTRY

Forestry families and rural communities across BC are feeling the impacts of mill closures, declining harvests, and policy uncertainty. In this statement to the Legislature, I spoke directly about the barriers this government has created — and the solutions that industry has been asking for.

Our contractors, mill workers, truck drivers, and small businesses deserve better. They deserve a government that will remove roadblocks instead of creating new ones, provide stability, and support the long-term future of forestry in British Columbia.

I am proud of our forestry workers and communities, and I will continue to fight for them every day. I hope this government will choose to do the same.
